Zaino questions for the gurus
Zaino questions for the gurus
I ran out of sunlight today, and only got one coat of Zaino on. End result: It looks pretty decent, but certainly nothing to write home about.
My questions are:
(1) What does the second coat buy you? Better shine, longer protection, or both?
(2) Can I apply my second coat of Zaino next weekend without the huge rigamarole? How would you recommend applying the second coat if it isn't too late?
Merci!
PS: Vffr1, are you listening?

You won't need to do the claybar again. Just wash the vehicle twice if you're in the rain, once if not, and then apply the second coat, or even two more if you have time.
Don't expect the car's finish to blow you away until you get that beautiful golden color into the sunlight!

Grasshopper, of course I'm listening...
Let me say this "The hard work is done!" now all you need to do is the easy part.
Whenever you'd like to add another coat of Z-whatever, wash you car, and zip a coat on (should take 10-15 to apply Z polish product) and revmove when dry.
You can event apply a coat tonight (in this case you swon't need ZFX since the polish will be on the car for hours) and remove in the morning (will remove in less then 15 mintues).
As far as multiple coats, yes you'll see each coat adds depth and some protection, I'm sure there is point of deminishing returns though.
Do you have Z-6? You can use that too between and after coats, Z-6 make the paint look wetter.

You can quickly ad a coat very weekend in a few minutes after you are done washing. The shine AND the protection increase each time. Now that the car is smooth and slick, they go very fast.
The FIRST coat is good, but not great. The strength of the Zaino process is that the polymer builds and smooths with each additional coat. Don't forget to Z-6 when you are done - it really smooths and glosses the finish, and catches any polish you didn't buff off.

Mr. Clean Autodry with Zaino
Hey guys, Quick question? I put on two coats of Zaino last weekend, using the entire process. Looks great. I then washed my car with the mr. clean auto dry system this weekend. Water went on with much beading. However, after washed car the water didn't bead anymore. Now I know the instructions for the Mr. Clean product says it won't strip wax. But of course Zaino isn't wax. The Mr. Clean instruction say that next time car gets wet the beading will be back. But I really want to know, will Mr. Clean soap take my Zaino off or not??
