Question Zaino question

I'm still waiting for my SSM TL (maybe next week). While I wait I have been practicing with Zaino on my wife's new Accord EX V6 (great car BTW). I've got two coats of Zaino on it and it looks marvelous. She never notices stuff like this but has mentioned how nice her car looks several times over the last couple of weeks. Especially after some serious rain last week. My question is - how should I wash it now to best retain the Zaino protection without removing the Zaino? I am under the impression that Dawn may not be the best choice at this stage since it tends to remove everything- I think. Anyone have any words of wisdom here? I'm looking for something I can get locally, if possible. Another product like Dawn possibly?

Thanks - and yes I'm obssessing about my TL. I should have gotten a VIN this week but nothing yet. I'm about an hour, or so, south of Marysville, may have to drive up there to provide some motivation.

If you read the Zaino web-site, it says even dawn won't take Zaino off. But I personally don't see the point in using something that harsh. I either use Zaino car wash, or just water. If the weather is fairly warm out, I just keep the hose running on a "mist" setting on the nozzle, and wash with a lambs wool mit.

Other than that, I would recommend any car wash detergent you can buy at any auto parts store or department.

Exclamation Meguiar's won't remove wax, etc.

Just got back from WalMart. Bought some Meguiars car wash. Specifically says it won't remove wax - I assume that it will be safe for Zaino even though it isn't wax.

I use Zaino Z-7 wash, which costs about 50 cents per wash to do (1/2 capful per hand wash).

Zaino is not a wax, but a polish. I don't know what will take it off and what won't, but I use what Sal Zaino recommends.

Be sure that you use their Z-6 gloss enhancer after washing the car. It will put a shine on the car that you won't believe!
