Your opinions on this used 04 Acura TL WDP please
Hello all,
I'm new to acurazine, as you can tell and am looking to purchase my first used car. This listing caught my eye as WDP is my preferred color choice with NBP following as a close second.
The car looks to be in great condition, judging from the photos shown, but has 160k miles on it. The owner says that the majority of the miles are from freeway driving which equates to about 30k miles a year =/
Here's the link to the listing on autotrader. Any tips on what I should look out for? I am concerned about the timing belt as I heard that it costs nearly 1k to be replaced. Hopefully, the owner has that taken care of already.
My second choice on autotrader seems too good of a deal to be true. 12.5k for a 2005TL in grey w/ 24k miles here.
I don't like the color, but it's bearable.
Additionally, which would you prefer? Listing 1 or listing 2? Thanks in advance and looking forward to joining you guys

Good god, that's a shit load of miles for a 04. I wouldn't go for that one. If I'm not mistaken, the timing belt should be replaced right around 100k, therefore I would think that the previous owner had that done when needed.
The second one sounds like a great deal, but I would research it like hell. Make sure it wasn't a salvage title or abused like a rental haha. Get Carfax and any other thing like that to look at the history. Better to be safe than sorry!
Do either of them have navi or the A-Spec kit? I would keep looking around for one with both or either of those options. If you don't get em now, you will want them in the near future. I know from experience

04 is overpriced.
05 sounds too good to be true. Check it out like CL says thoroughly. If everything checks out, that sounds like a smoking deal.
One thing, get the color you really want w/ the options you want e.g. Navi, otherwise you will most likely regret your decision later.
My .02.

Thanks.
I don't really care much for the navi as i'll probably be using the iphone w/ sygic as my primary navi anyway so if the vehicle comes with it, i'll prob. just use it as an auxiliary screen.

The A-Spec kit isn't too pricey so it can always be added on at a later time. I would deff go with navi. I didn't think it was a big deal when I got mine, but now I wish I had one.

That 05 is going to go quick.. something must be wrong with it.. or they meant 124k miles..
If the car has a full maintenance history of every scheduled maintenance item, oil changes, etc.. and it drives well (take it on a 30 min test drive), check the fluids.. I say it's reasonable.. You could find a TL with less than 100k for that price though...

Regarding the Navi: Root through the Audio/Bluetooth/Electronics/Navi board and notice how there have been many threads over the years regarding converting non-Navi TLs to have a Navi. Seems like a lot of people initially dismiss it as an extravagance and later change their mind.
