Your Most Favorite / Unfavorite Thing About Your TL Is.....?
Since the2004 body style itself is coming to an end, I was wondering what everyone thought on this topic. I was an early adopter, getting an 04 anthracite, auto, black interior. Anywho, here goes....
FAVORITE: The interior layout is simple in design but amazingly effective (enough so that many have copied the basics -- i.e. Lexus IS 350) and has nice textures, with good leather and blue interior accent lighting to boot! Just sweet on a warm summer night!
UNFAVORITE: I was unfortunately bitten hard by the rattle bug. Many fixed, many come and go with the temperature, humidity, etc...with one in my driver's side A-pillar that is like habit that can't be quit.
Chime in folks!

Favorite: great car overall, but my favorite trait is the TL's understated ability to move quickly, in straights or twisties.
Biggest dislike: Pretty minor- either the turning radius- 39 feet 7 inches or so, and I live on a 40-foot wide street - or the single very intermittent squeak from the console area on rough surfaces (sometimes it's the coffee cup in the cupholder, sometimes not, and it isn't the shift cover plate...).

So many favorites to name but the smooth, precise shifting 6-speed has to be my favorite (after changing to GM Synchromesh of course).
Least Favorite: huge turning radius is a pain. My Dad's Toyota Sienna MINIVAN has a better turning radius!

Favorites: I like the interior, audio buttons on the steering wheel and the blue lights that shine on the console.
Dislikes:
the turning diameter, and the gas mileage especially in cold weather.

Favorite: styling, also the interior and audio. Oh, and great gas mileage for the size and performance.
Unfavorite: a vibration in the drive train at 1500 rpm.

favorite is the front of the car. The front fascia of the car completely matches my personality. Plus the anthracite metallic - a bunch of ppl have made that comment now.
least favorite would be that the feel of the leather after a while, granted i do have an 04, but the leather just feel's cheap. the only thing that feel's of quality is the A-spec steering wheel.

You guys list your least some the funnies "least favorite things"...
- car seat? you need a minivan.
- Gas milage? you need a civic. Big HP = shitty milage
- FWD vs. RWD? It's proven the FWD TL-S outperforms the the G35 based on many rag reviews. Other than some minor torque steer, it's fine... and MUCH better in snow than rwd.
-
Favorite: How mod worthy the TL is... A set of rims, minor drop, and rather cheap body kit makes the TL a jaw dropper. A set of $400 infinity speakers transform the sound system.
Least favorite: shitty WDP paint match.

Favorites: I really do like my '04 manual TL. I will have had it four years this coming July. I like just about everything about the car. It continues to entertain me.
Dislikes: Nothing really. Mine's been remarkable and serves me and my likes very well. I still turn around and look at it with a smile as I am walking away.

Favorite: Interior and exterior of car, everything looks modern, sporty and luxurious.
Dis-likes: Rattles, they ruin the great driving experience that the TL gives, and also when it rains and you open the trunk, all the water gets into the trunk.

Favorite: Everything about the TL-S......cant really complain lol after 6 months of owning it I still find myself staring at it admiring its design. No G35 or IS or 335i has had that effect.
Dislike: two things about the car that bug me but still no biggie for ME.....FWD and the turning radius. I dont have rattles, dont have a car seat lol, MPG sucks but what are you gonna do?

I hate the fact that the back seat does not fold down and there is only a small pass through which is about useless un less I need to pick up a 2 x 4

That's good to hear. I still do that sometimes myself. My 04 doesn't sound nearly as solid as yours (insert jealousy here), but the looks hold up quite well.

Favorite: Value of the car you get for the money you pay for (hid headlights, leater, navi, xm....) I looked at other cars and the closest thing I found was about 10k more than the price I paid for my TL. Oh yeah, its got its roots from Honda and I have never had a problem with my 90 Accord for the 11 years I have owned it.

Fav: Sexy exterior and interior. Good power and features for its price.
Dislikes: Rattles Rattles Rattles!!! If the music is loud, the rear speakers rattle, if the music is low the center console rattles. Next week I am due for another oil change and will have the dealer work on the rattles for the 3rd time.

i like everything about this car. Interior is near perfect. Exterior is eye candy.
But some things about the TL bother the living outta me. One thing is the steering wheel vibration during highway speeds like @ around 75, it gets most annoying.
2. the freakin Rattle on the dash is .... (@*#$
And I believe that is it. If these things were fixed.. that would be perfect.

I agree... big difference coming from a previous TSX owner myself. I didn't get the Type S but the 258 HP over the TSX's 205 HP is still a big difference.
