The question you should be asking is what do YOU think? We can always throw out opinions, but you're the one driving your car. It looks like you already have an HID kit installed. What's wrong with the color you have now? HID bulbs are very cheap these days. Why not buy both 3K and 6K and switch when you get bored with the color.

this will make them greenish. I was thinking what about 5k ( since they are white ) and put two overlays.

yellow would be more effective as a fog light.

I was on the fence about this too. I think 3k it is. But would it look off with 6k headlamps?

match 6k on lowbeam and fogs, yellow is played out by lexuses lol. white is more clean looking but yellow also makes it dirty, jdm style, its all bout your preference, i have 6000K fogs and i never looked back

Can you put HID on the fod lights? I Don't thing it will work . My buddy has 07 TL-S, he try HID on the fog lights, and it wont work. Because it don't have enough power to power up the HID.

You can do this. You have to buy the HID kit from one of the many producers of them. I believe I got mine from iJDM or VLEDs, the kits provide ballasts to provide enough juice for them to work but make sure you get a relay harness

Is there a difference in visibility in actual fog when you change it to a different color?
Is that a safety issue technically?

There is a difference, the fog will reflect back white light (factory HID's) and as well any light that is bluer/whiter than that. The 3K HID's work well because it provides a bit of contrast so it's easier to see, plus there is little to no yellow to reflect back.

if you search the member "quanaman" you can see what I'm talking about only thing is that he has 6k with yellow overlays. You can see a little of green. I guess I will be the first to try 5k and two or three yellow overlays to make it yellow.

Thanks. Looks like I'll go look for some yellow LED Fogs.

Unless you have HID Fogs, I'd go yellow... I gave up trying to get the halogen fogs to match the HID headlights, as it always looked off... So I went with Nokya 2500K Hyper-Yellow bulbs for the fogs on all my cars, and couldn't be happier. Yellow Fogs with white HID headlights looks way better than White HID headlights with off-white fogs.
