Y U H8EN is MIA..my TL has been stolen
hey guys so i officially think my TL is gone for good. the car has been stolen in Yonkers NY in front of my sisters house. its been missing since mon. night and still no sign..if any one has spotted it since then please let em know.

Yeah I would check the police to see if it was towed. Do you have a note on it maybe repoed. Just throwing thoughts out there. I can't see a TL being stolen that easily. maybe flatbeded or towed but not stolen. Where in YO did it happen? Cause I'm up there too. Did you have Lojack on it?

i got a quick question.... how would they steal it? I thought our cars require a special key... and I thought if someone tries to hot wire the car the car would just die... or was i misinformed? thanks

no that's true there is a chip inside the key that you need to start the car. thieves will either tow a car or load it onto a flatbed and just drive away with it.

I did hear about people placing orders for vin-specific keys at a dealer in my area. I guess only a few keys made it out before sombody caught on and started verifying information before selling coded keys. This was back in 06 I think...
Some would even break you car once and steal JUST your registration, go to the dealer with it, and the dealer would cut a key no question's.

Traveling the country
Flat bed, or tow truck. Not really that hard.
The thing about a TL is that once parted it would be super easy to sale the parts since there are a million of them on the road. I am kinda surprised they are not stolen more often.

the car wasin lots of shows due to the sound system...theres no tickets and i had 2 payments left..this happened in the palmer rd area...who ever did it knew me or knew my car...

it deff is someone eho knows my car. cuz my brother in law is on here he has a nbp and it was parked in front of mine. his untouched, mine gone. someone deff wanted my car. its been 4 days since, i dont think ima get her back in 1 piece

my brother in law and cuzzins are in the auto security system business and i have watched cars get dis-armed in seconds, as for driving away with it..jus as easy as it is to put in a remote start and bypass the chip it would be to get hot wired. personaly recovering the car isnt an issue to me, i have insurance, its the system that isnt covered, i'll be losing about 12K in upgrades

My buddies went back but this time they parked the car and hid behind the break. As soon as the thieves came to jack them again they beat the *ish out of them. Tied them naked to a shore signal drove off and after letting them get baked by the sun for a while they called the cops anonymously and gave their story. Poetic. lol..

My marine buddies did that one time.. They would go diving off a shore break and they would leave their wallets and personal items in the car right off the break b/c it was secluded and open.. nobody would go out there. One dive they got jacked.. all there wallets and misc dive gear. The thieves must have spotted their car way out on the break and figured out they were diving so it was open season for them.

Anyways what could these theives do with the car? I know they can't sell the car if you reported to the police. The only thing they could do is sell them for parts. The easiest one is the tire and wheel so check out for your wheels popping at some neighborhood. I wouldn't be surpised if the theives lived 20 miles away either. I use to have a dumb friend that stole cars (he was awfully good at it, could steal anything, but couldn't work if his life depended on it, he ends up working for the police in investigating car thefts) and he would make sure the car he stole he was far enough way from close encounters with the original owners. He would sell the car for parts erasing all identification (VIN) on each part, if any, and would sell the parts than bring the car to a metal recycle scrapyard and get money for it. So that would mean if this guy is the same, you get the picture...
Your insurance doesn't cover your "after market" options and just the car itself stock?And damn if you spent 12k in upgrades you should've invested in a automated shotgun whoever tries to open your car or touch your car... KABLAMM! ...head blown off.
