With fuel mixtures these days, there is virtually zero use for any kind of fuel cleaner, treatment, or octane boosters. If you use the recommended octane, everything will be just fine.
That being said, the ONLY fuel treatment I use is BG 44k. That stuff actually works. It's professional grade cleaner. I use it once evey 10,000 miles or so. Worth every drop.

Are fuel cleaners going to get you better mpg's? Nope. But carbon does build up in engines. It's generally a good thing to try and keep the carbon at a minimum. If you neglect it and have never decarboned the engine there is always a chance at a possible issue in the future.
I DID use a bottle of Lucas and noticed an increase in MPG for a little while, and I used a bottle of Techron on a road trip just in case and I think it helped. Could be in my head but I'm fairly certain that the Lucas helped a bit.
