Xpel paint protection product feedback
Xpel paint protection product feedback
Looking at the xpel Technologies paint protection product to cover a Ron Jon body kit for my 2005 black TL. Will have professionally done, however, looking for feedback on the longevity and quality of the product. Also wondering if a template has already been created for that body kit, by chance.

I had the xpel installed on my anthracite 2004 6MT in December of 2003 when the car was a week old. I removed it in July 2010 after 105K miles because it had become dull.
The good news is that the car looked great for the first 5 years and I had no paint chips after almost 6 years of driving.
The bad news is that the bra was extremely difficult to remove, even after purchasing the special solution to remove car bras. My wife and I spent many hours removing the bra and the lingering glue. Additionally the color of the paint is somewhat different where the bra was. But even worse the paint on the top of the hood was damaged and appears "crazed" where the bra was.
Bottom line is that I will never purchase a "clear bra" again.
