I noticed on my road trip/extended XM listening session that the song title and artist information doesn't always rotate on the dashboard display strip - it seems to get "stuck" on the artist name. I know the information is being sent because when I bring up the Audio screen on the nav both the artist and song title are there. The display does rotate properly sometimes, but most of the time it doesn't.

Anyone else notice this?

 

I've noticed that happening at times. If you want to rotate it yourself just press the DISP/MODE button- MODE icon in your case since you have navigation- and it'll change from artist name to music title; then channel name, channel number, category and back to artist name.

 

It would be great if they could provide more data...like the year of the song's release, and the album title.

 

The info that's displayed is the info on the CD. Unfortunately, all that extra info is not encoded in the disc.

 

That makes sense. I guess I was thinking of my digital audio channels on my cable tv, and how great it is to look up during a song and see so much information about it. It would be great if the XM system did the same.

 

Speaking of more information. How come the title of each dvd-a loaded isnt displayed on the audio screen instead of simply "dvd-a" or "DTS". Am I doing something wrong. That would seem like a simple thing to do dont ya think?

 

The feature of showing the artist name and song title is only for XM radio.
