WTH is the function of these styrofoam bricks?
Found these foam bricks in the aft passenger door while attempting to fix a dent:
my guess is that they are a harmonic damper used for sound deadening in the cabin.
anybody actually know what they do???

that was my second guess.
me gotta start wearing foil hatz when driving hondas now.

Being pre-formed and held by a bracket, it's almost certainly a crash impact absorber. No, I'm not kidding. Many cars have large versions of these behind the bumper cover (However the TL uses molded plastic absorbers there instead).
