insurance is coming today to look at the car, i thank everybody for their support. I know alot of people are mentioning about getting an aftermarket set of wheels. I thought about it but then again with the way things are i'm not even trying to get these thieves a new set of wheels. They obviously have my house scoped out, and I can pretty much guarantee it was the same assholes that came after my Impala, they couldn't get shit that time because of the alarm. I'll instead invest in a security system for the car, those idiots are bound to come back again. Thanks again to everyone for their support.

Seeing shit like this pisses me off sooooo much. That there are some people out there that are so low they will do this to someone elses pride and joy and something they worked hard for.

PLEASE keep an eye out on craigslist and ebay for a set of these wheels. Nothing would feel better than to nail those low life pieces of 5hit.

lol.. recession has nothing to do with it.. I had my stock rims stolen from my Lexus RX300 with brand new Pirelli tires in my carport when the economy was good. You need to understand that there are folks out there whose moral / ethical character will always be poor no matter what is happening in the U.S. economy. Best thing you can invest in if you like your wheels is a set of wheel locks. The tricky thing is hiding the key adapter.. or keep it locked somewhere safe and keep a can of air / air compressor plus some tire goop in the trunk.

Bullshit man. I'd love to catch someone trying to do something to my car...let alone in my own driveway.

I'm sure insurance will cover..its under theft and unless you declined that coverage, you should be okay.

Wheel locks are still a requirement. Geez, only $40 will deter over 50% of the thieves that have their eye on your wheels. Sure, there are skilled thieves that can break them but why make it easier?
The logic of some of you posters amazes me. The whole game is about cutting the odds. That's why I park away from other cars. No dings in doors. Can't hide from them all but it cuts down the chances.

I agree. Wheel locks are not so much a theft prevention but a theft deterrent.

I wonder if there were some sort of product that lets you hook up an electrical system so if those bolts were tampered with it would electrocute anyone trying to take them off.

Yeah.. I'm sure the guys at tire rack will enjoy that..

I much prefer the South African theft deterrant.. shooting flames.. the thief probably wont die but will wish they did.. lol.

Horrible

Sorry for what happenedman . Same thing happened to me last year. It was the coldest day of the year, around 12below. I woke up and hit the remote start monday morning . Took a glance out the window 2 see if the car started and noticed that the lights look croked. I opend the door and say my car partly on the gound. They also broke both side moldings. The insurance took care of everything . Problem gettin rims . Waited 4 2 weeks I had 2 order them from tire rack just so i can get the car in the garage. Those brembo breaks wont let just any rim go on that car. One thing that i did not like is that honda puts locks on their civics and acura wont put them on a tl. Oh and the dealer wanted to tow my car without rims to the dealeship. So did the city. Sorry for draging on . One more thing I found them on ebay told the cops where they live but they did nothing about it .

That video should've showed someone actually catching on fire. I think if it did, that would sell soooo much better..

If a thief is determined to steal it, they will. My aunt had her wheels stolen some time ago (almost 10 years ago now) from her Acura 1.6EL, this was inside a LOCKED, GATED, and security guarded garage under her apartment.

Anyhow, maybe you should invest in something I use to defend my lawn against dog shit. my computer is hooked onto a standard webcam (With nightvision). I have this free program installed that lets me monitor a certain area the webcam sees. Whenever it detects movement in that area, it screams like a BITCH. And I look out the window and scream at the dog owner.

Hope it helps

Champ.. you got it all wrong.. you let your pit sleep in the car.. don't worry about keeping the door open or window down.. they'll break through it and rip some shit off.. in all seriousness. real sweet dogs [just not to other dogs]. My buddies chinaman & rednose would probably lick an intruder / thief to death. Still intimidating..

Got my wheels today!!! Car looks great CBP and Ebony are a great combination, now I just need to get the new side skirts on and get the A-Spec suspension, then it'll be full A-Spec. Got wheel locks this time and as u can see it''ll sleep in the garage so those bastards don't steal my wheels again.
