so my cell phone rings, its my wife, she says she hit something in the road with the car, it won't go forward, and a tow truck just arrived, i was like oh crap (my last car a CL-S had like a $8,000 hit when it was three months old) i wasn't mad just a little bummed out, found out the reason a tow truck was there so quickly, was because the tow dolly fell off the truck, a lifted pickup in front of her drove right over it, the TL was not so lucky, nothing is leaking and she brings it up the body shop, i noticed the bumper was split and a piece knocked out in the center, i lifted it up with a floor jack and looked under it (ouch) radiator support pushed back, gouge out of the left ear of the subframe, condensor bent, so it needs the frame rack, the lower support can be repaired after pull and repainted, new bumper cover, air deflector (rebar and absorber were ok, it went under them) wheel alignment, subframe. so at least she didn't get hurt and its not really cosmetic except for the bumper, it could have been alot worse, the towing company told me they would take care of it, probably through an insurance company.

I got the similar issue on my 94Legend. On the way to the airport, the busy I-278 south bound, I hit the truck-tire stopper, which fell from one of stupid trucks 1 cars ahead of me. It scratched the car (MB E320) in front of me, and had some spark around from its chassis. I tried to change lane immediately, but it's too late. My right-front tire rolled over it and my right fender, rim, and tire all messed up. Luckily, no one got hurt, but $205 tow truck fee, $100 the front bumper works, $240 replace the right-front brake hose pipe and refill the brake fluid, $150 for tire, $200 trailing arm, $200 splash shield/bracket, $250 weld and repaint, and $50 4-wheel alignment. Total is about $1400. Never found the truck/company which cause this trouble.
