Wrong MID info ?
Wrong MID info ?
This is the first time (I've noticed) that my 07 TL-S MID is showing me some wrong info ... I was very happy to see my MPG went up to 31 right before I got on the hiwy for some road trips & then see that number somehow settled around 28 ... no complaints whatsoever ... then I pulled into my bank & right after I came out, I saw my MPG down to 18-19 & my ave. speed dip from 30 something to like 18-20 ... my total miles didn't reset yet it seems like my MPG & AVE. got resetted ... anyone else got bitten by the computer glitch ?
No big deal & just bored here at work on a sunny Saturday morning ...

Interesting... I'll have to keep my eye out for that on mine.
I have a question... In what increments does the Oil Life statistic drop? I've driven around 500 miles since the oil change done at the dealer before I drove it off the lot, and it's still showing at 100%. I figured it would dropped by at least 10% by now?

To the OP. Just think about the situation for a l ittle. If you drive on the highway, you'll likely get higher MPG since your car isn't stopping and moving; less effort by the engine. Once you hit the bank, you'll sit there for 5 m inutes. It counts every second the car is on. So, you basically sat there at 0 mph for 5 minutes. Think grades for a second. A person with 4x100 scores got caught cheating on a test, now s/he got a 0. 100 would be the average leading to the last test. Once s/he got the 0, it's now 400/500 or 80%. See how much it changes just by one number. It's all statistics.
By the way, if you have the key to ON and not started, it will STILL count the time you're there. It says you're driving 0 MPH for however long you've sat with the car on.
