WOW - My District Parts and Service Manager came through
I spoke to the DPSM (District Parts and Service Manager) for my dealership and he said he would change my '04 front seats out for '05 front seats. We went over to the parts deparment together and he placed the order right in front of me. The only thing is he doesn't know if they are going to need different foam underneath, and if it will fit, but he is willing to try. Also, he is letting me replace mt crappy EL42 for TL-Z's. He told me to go to a local Firestone stone, have it done, and they would reimburse me for the difference in cost....

Novice with JMAN's permision. can u post them on here. And please post the name of dealer and manager please so we can see if we can solve our problems. now the thing is. if we give out the name of this person who was great enough to help you out. and then he starts gettin calls of 300 different service reps for this. its going to suck for him and god knows what kind of service they will provide for you in the future. But if u can.. ask him if its ok to release his name to other Acura members with this same situation. Because if its something that he knows that warranty will cover then no worries. but if he is doing somthing just to help you out. its best not to say who..

Hey JMan,
Sorry to get off topic here, but did you also speak to him about the vibration issue and the re-setting of the idle. I know we were both experiencing the same vibration problems.

The DPSM is doing the '05 seat swap as a "good will" gesture for me and told me he isn't really supposed to be doing it. He is writing it up as a leather discoloration. Therefore, I can't give you the name of the DPSM or Dealership. I just don't think it is fair to them. I will let you know if it works as a fix and if this is a resolution. They don't even know since no one has done this swap before.

Like driving on square tires. They flat spot, too. It seems to have to do with the low profile of the tire and when they get cold, they flat spot until they warm up. I am going to mention it to them again when I bring my car in to get everything fix, to see if thay can do the "re-learning" of the idle.
I and I am sure alot of other people have had big rims with low profile tires and this is the first time I have ever had a problem with flat spotting. Like I had said in another thread tires used to flat spot a lot when they were bias ply tires, that should not be an issue any more with any tire. I had never heard of any other brands with the flat spotting issue allthough I have read some threads where tire changes did nothing for the 55-70mph vibration.
Has anyone with the A-spec suspension having the same vibration issues??

Jman,
You are very fortunate. I had my seat covers replaced last week. They did the entire seat due to the butt prints and the upper part near the head rest bulging upwards. It was done by a professional upholstery place and they did a pretty good job. No scatches or anything else. I was very happy with the results. However, I think the prints will be back to haunt me soon enough. I'm not even a heavy person at about 140 pounds.

Here is the picture of Jman's seat:
Here is the picture of someone else's seat (I cannot remember who).
Jman: I am surprised that they actually replaced your seat. I guess the butt prints are more evident on ebony leather.... Thanks for letting me post your picture.

My seat looks just like that. I thought that was normal???
THe only other car I have with leather is my NSX and it is very tightly pulled.
Guess I need to have that addressed at my next service visit...
