You are right. I didn't see the pic before, it didn't load. IS460 would be amazingly powerful - almost too powerful for the car itself.

Either way, back to the topic. The TL is a great car, I would argue one of the best in the class for the overall package. 2 x

I meant the new IS 460 .. yes they are putting the V8 into their baby Is body.. I'm not sure on teh Hp and Torque specs, mabye someon with a little more knoledge of the lexus engines can chime in here. I'm positive about the car style.. It's the IS with a hood scoop and I'm sure a ton of other visual differences. here's one of many spyshot websites..http://www.thecarconnection.com/Enth...178.A8755.html

There are a bunch of spy shots of i but that's th olny real pic of the car I could find.. I think they said 07 or 08 season. They shold give it a AWD option and it could hold some of the customers from Infinity's Skyline Gt-R TwinTurboed V6 with 450hp awd and suspension done by Lotus, to be released on the Us market in 08 or 09. Still no genuine shots of it yet, just photoshopped concept versions, it should be a beast aswell, way to expensive though.

Similar article, this one talks about a 4.3 L V8, and this car competing with the M3..

Check out this website, it's got some goot spy information, the Passat will be coming with a base 4cyl giving 170hp , and a top 400hp engine... In a Passat?? Geese, this hp war is going to be fun!!!

It is stupid 2paid over 12K for the IS350. I rather put 12K in my saving account. BE SMART AND THINK SMART!

With options Lexus build for the IS350 - 18" tire and cherry wood consol, price are $38,998 + tax/icense = about $42K or fully loaded include tax/license $48,542.

That's way too expensive. I still consider TL is the best value price. U can get fully loaded for only $36K - $37K OTD depend on what dealer you deal with.

I got mine for 33,100 with navigation not including tax/license.....

Point is...you can deal down the TLs now...You cannot deal that much with the IS 250/350 because the model just came out...Plus I don't like to buy the first year of a redisign because of possible issues.

I saw the new IS parked in a local mall on display and was really excited. I had high hopes for this car, but one look at the backseat and I said no way. I can't believe how little rear seat room there is. They might as well call it a 2+2 or make it a coupe. Bummer for me, because otherwise it looks like a truly awesome car. I need a functional backseat though.

I was considering the IS when I bought my car last month.

IS250 - didn't have all the features I wanted (no HID option) and was too weak for me.

IS350 - with all the features, its too $$$ for a car with small trunk space and little leg room for the passenger.

Other than the cool smart key function, the TL had a majority of the features (I wanted) included as standard that were in the IS as optional packages. The TL was the winner for me!
