which would you get?
money vs stuff question
A 2003 CL-S 6MT no-nav w/ 99k miles and the big timing belt service included in the deal for 9k (dealership sale)
OR
A 2005 TL 6MT with nav and 67k miles for 15k (private party sale)
Some info about me: I do not need a back seat. Either car I would get, I would install an alarm/remote-start, and ipod adapter in. If I were to get the CL i'd also need to install a Bluetooth handsfree.
To me all signs point to the TL. Its got all the features I want already included. But there is a hefty price difference between the two options.
I am looking for a competent all weather car, but it will share driving duties w/ my Miata. I use the Miata as a DD right now, and plan on doing so while the weather is good. It more of a in-city car whereas either Acura will get more HWY, long trip use.

Yeah, 6k is a big difference. Can you afford the TL? If so, it's a no brainer to me. The TL is newer, has less miles and has more features than the CL. Plus, you never know when you'll need a backseat!

Money is not the issue. Just trying to get the right deal. I don't know the owners personally. Both cars are 2 owner vehicles. The CL has a lot of service records on carfax and is being sold by the dealer who did the services for the previous owner. The TL's second owner has only had it for 11 months. It may be an economic issue for him, but says that he is getting to use another car for free, and so that is his reason for selling. The previous owner has a couple of records on carfax from a dealer. Just oil change A/B services. Seems like a nice guy.... but you know I'm a nice guy... but I wouldn't hesitate to step on a granny to get a deal
Coming from someone who once owned a 01 CL-S, I would go for the CL.
They didn't make that many 6-speeds, you don't see CLs as often as you do TLs, and the seats hug you more than the TLs. I love my TL to death but if I could go back in time and keep the CL, I would.
