Would You Buy a 2005 acura with 113k miles?

For $11k, OBO, in great condition from interior/exterior and maintained. I have owned a high millage Acura before and have had no issues out of it, but it never hurts for advice from those who actually own this generation.

Let me know....thanks

If it were mmade22's I would. His car is clean and VERY well cared for. Looks like it's got about 50k on it, not 115k.

So if it's like that, then yeah, I'd consider it.

+1

I dont feel comfortable with that much mileage. If its your 2nd car then whatever, but if its your DD that you need to rely on I would be hesitant.

imho spend a lil more, get one with less milage just because. would you spend a lil more to have a lil more life on your car? even though im sure it still has alot of life in it after 115k

Sure looks clean with only a couple scratches on the rear bumper. The car certainly has a lot of life remaining with only 113K if it's been maintained properly, but check about the timing belt replacement. If they can prove it's been done, fine, but if not your looking at about $1000 for the job as the belt is a a 105K mile service item.
Check it over very closely, but looks good.
Good Luck

So this car was driven about 30K miles per year give or take. Alot of that has to be highway easy miles, so I'd verify oil changes being done to start. If you buy it change out all the fluids and handle the timing belt if it hasn't been done. I'd buy it.

It's detailed by the dealer so theres no question that its visually immaculate. I would be worried about the transmission. If it was 6 speed, then no hesitation about getting it. Either take the gamble or keep searching.

That car looks clean and well taken care of. I would say, if it were a 6 speed, buy it! I would look into the transmission services and see how clean or dirty the tranny fluid is. These cars are known for tranny issues. Not all but some. I can say the car looks great and yeah the milage is high but hwy miles and city miles are two different animals. I have 117k trouble free highway miles.

See if the timing belt, water pump, plugs, coolant , filters have all been done at the 105k service. If not look to see if you can get it for 10k and get the dealer to do it for you right away. Good luck, the car is nice. Dallas TX is a great place to buy a used car. No snow or salt!

I would not buy it, but if you do make sure it has either had the timing belt replaced, or if not, do it right away.

I would consider giving them $10-11,000 if I can afford to make repairs as they come up. In other words, I would not spend every transportation dollar I have buying any car.

10k out the door if not salvage etc. I'd get it as spare.

i would personally go for it ... just make sure timing belt is done, and tranny maintenance has been up to date, then you should be good for well past 200k miles

that car is silconed out. before I would even talk numbers I would have the dealer wash the car, rewash the engine bay and wheel wells - and look for paint defects and swirls. That much silicone and that poor of a detail job is a no go for me.

You might want to take a closer look at the tires in person. From the pics, the treads look a little worn out.

to be honest, thats not high for a honda. it can easily do 200k+ especially if it was well taken care of. its up to you in the end if you want it or not. just watch out for tranny problems.
