Car pulls to the right when i step on it

I resently got this 2007 TL.
When i step on the car hard off the line it the wheel pulls to the right. Anyone have any idea
Do i need a wheel alignment or balance?
Anything else that could be wrong?

Thanks

ya know, after reading that wiki entry.. i just noticed something

we all know when you install the Rv6 pre-cat deletes, you trade off some low end torque for some high-end ponies...

ever since i did this setup, i noticed, my torque steer has gone done considerably....

lol...ive actually done that before

to the OP...since you sound like a noob, i'll answer another question for ya

WHEEL HOP... when you floor your car from a stand still... and the wheels jerk and the car kind of bounces and skips... thats dangerous, and can destroy your front end components really quickly

LOL

But did you know that if the OP's car was shipped to Australia or anywhere else in the southern hemisphere, instead of leading to the right when flooring the car from a dig, it'll lead to the left?

hahaha LOL dude, this is not a northern / southern hemisphere thing, it's with the different length drive shafts, and i'm pretty sure that even a right hand drive TL has the engine and tranny mounted EXACTLY the same way

Take a look at your compliance bushings and check for any tears. Check your wheel tread and look for uneven wear that is indicative of misalignment. Also check your tire pressures and make sure you have adequate pressure in all of your tires. Make sure your car isn't pulling to the right while maintaining constant velocity.

If all that checks out then for sure it's just torque steer. It's caused by your driveshafts being different in size so the power distribution is not equal. The transaxle is delivers more torque to the shorter shaft (driverside) and thus pulls to the right. I wonder how exaggerated this would be if the 3G had higher low end torque?? (fwd 180.. lol)

You guys are mixing it up completely. In the southern hemisphere it pulls to the right when you go reverse. besides.. you know how jacked up most of us are on AZ in the morning.. high of coffee & sugar!!

I disagree. It depends on traction, you could get crazy wheel hop at the drasgstrip with VSA off.

Where's the Z?? must have been sad to let that go.. Well from a Z to an Altima to a TL.. looks like you compromised on the TL (power vs. convenience)..

What do you want? fifteen three ounch stickie weights all around the inside of the rims? Dude...that means your wheels likely didnt NEED any more balancing than that. Or are you suggesting he just went around and stuck one weight on each wheel just to trick you into thinking he did something he didnt?

Not likely and a fairly ignorant statement man. Why the need to call him a "prick" when he likely did his job correctly? If he didnt...you would have noticed RIGHT AWAY after you left the dealer lot and returned immediately wouldnt you have?

What likely happened is you ran through a pot hole or something and knocked one of em off balance at some point. Or loaned your car to someone who did....its happened to me twice. Girlfriend both times. What can ya do? Its one or the other....Acura or the Lexus...I can take my pick on which one she tears to shit...lol. Frankly...the Lexus takes it a bit better with her...lol. but anyways, i noticed the 07-08 6mt type-s has much worse torque steer than the 04-06 6MT's. IMO.

lol, i curbed my front left rim on my new 08 type-s the first time i drove it. i was doing a u-turn and i punched the accel. before i straightened the wheel back out and it sent the car veering into the curb. it happened so hard and fast that the steering wheel jerked out of my hands, and then there she went... oh well, sh*t happens, i guess.

if you got wheel hop in a TL, you got issues. I have never experienced it in any TL or my CLS even with full on throttle and TCS off....but then again I don't beat my car to death either......
