Would these be OEM HID color?

Hey guys,

Im just curious...i bought this 07 TLS and the headlights look like this, i can't tell if its the oem hid color or if the previous owner had switched the color to a different color.....looks more like a 5000k or maybe a 6000k

i know its hard to see....i just ordered a 6000k bulb and it would kind of pointless if this bulb is already a 6000k...

what do you think? could it be stock?

By seeing the modified LED's in the grill, I would assume that the previous owner had a thing for lighting upgrades. This would lead me to believe that they updated the HID's as well, but this is all just speculation.

if you could pull out the bulbs, you can tell if they are aftermarket or the stock bulbs

Those could be 5k, pictures you cant really tell, it all depends on the brand as well.. some 6k's put off white, some put off that blueish.

Also if the 3G is like the 2G factory is 4300.

^^this!!
you can also tell if they oem or some sort of other temp is by projecting onto a garage door, or something preferably light of a color. oem does have the 4800-5000k look to it, if they aftermarket you will see some more of hyper white, or as justnspace said pull out the bulbs

i thought you can't pull out the bulbs from just within the hood and you have to take off the front bumper. The previous owner left the fogs oem color so im not too sure....

i was just curious, i ordered matching 6000k low's and fogs so i'll just wait until after winter and put them both in.....

thanks guys

just that right now all 3 lights dont match, the leds is super bright, doesn't match the low beams and diffinatly doesn't match the fogs.....with all 3 on, its too many lights for me...

Im going to take the leds off when its abit warmer here..

I dont mind doing stuff like this, just that right now i dont have a garage and winter is almost here so im collecting all the lights i need and also collecting all the other things i have to do that requires taking off the front bumper and do it all at once in spring....

here is a pic of all the lights.

Standard OEM HID Bulb is 4.3k.

I'd recommend buy a Phillips 85122+ bulb (4.3k) or a CBI bulbs (5k). Both are relatively expensive, but they produce the most light output (lumens).

i already bought 6000k D2S bulbs for the low's, 6000k hid kit for the fogs.
I just now have to source out some 1157 bulbs for the turn signals to match the 6000k...

Not sure what i can do to the DRL's though....wondering what the members on here are using for the DRL's

OEM is 4300K. And in order to tell from a picture on a screen, you need to aim the camera AWAY from the direct beam of light...

Take a pic from top down; it'll be easier to tell just by color.

idk about the whole stock bulb thing always is the case. Mine is stock and it is deff not 5k its like 6 or so. It starts off looking purple then warms and is blue ish around the ages. when it reflects off signs its like white/blue/purple so idk about 5k since that is just like white.

like said before OEM is 4300k, however, with age and the amount of hours put on the bulb some bulbs can change in color, and lose lumens.. but it all depends on what bulb it is
