Tonight we were driving down the Mass Pike doing about 60 in the moderate rain, on the fastest setting the wipers did not seem to be going as fast as people say they go(so fast I am worried they will fly off), they did not sufficiently wipe the windshield. Is this because they are not working correctly or the stock blades are crap?

i was in your shoes.......i too thought the wipers didn't do so much and they were just crap....and for awhile i thought....and i came to a conclusion...

get SILICONE WIPERS....

i bought the PIAA Super Sporza wipers (sporza only means they have the spoiler), i bought them, and the first week i put them on, they take a little while to work them in, but they are amazing, the water beeds up and rolls right off the windsheild, its almost like u only have to wipe a few times ur hole drive becuse the water just slides right off with a clear view. they are definatly worth the money.

 

What auto shops are they available at(I live near an NTB, Autozone, VIP, and Pep boys. Is there a difference between the super sporzas and the supersilicones? How does a windshield wiper spoiler function? What about noise level? Are the blades white or black?

i went to pepboys...and they didn't have them in stock, but they have them on the pepboys website, aswell as on car domain and piaa's website could find u a shop that sells them. the Super Sporzas just have the spoiler...the Super Silicones are Super Sporzas without the Spoiler. i have the super sporzas cause i thought the spoiler would look better and IMO i love it, especially it helps with those windy days where the SUV's get blown a few inches to the side. they can't compare to Rubber blades because they are just amazing. the blades are black and they don't have any noise whatsoever because its not screetching rubber across a windshield, the only thing you hear is the moving of the wiper arm. trust me....this would be a good investment...try and get your dad to get them
