Windshield Wiper Fluid Notification
I have a random question. Yesterday, I actually ran out of windshield wiper fluid in my car since it's lovebug season and everything. Well, I realized that I haven't refilled it and why nothing was coming out of the nozzles. I immediately looked at my dash for any sort of notification saying that the windshield wiper fluid was low or empty. But it said nothing.
Next I consulted the book. The book noted that only the Canadian models had a notification pop up in the MID about the fluid being low. Is that a mod that could be hacked or is there a sensor that needs to be installed?

Why the Acura TL doesn't have a low washer fluid indicator is beyond me. All my other cars have one. Even my Pontiac has one.
My wife got ticked the other day, when a truck in front of her sprayed mud on her window, and her washers were empty....

I tried to get some info on this a while back...
https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...t=washer+fluid
Anyone out there got a Canadian wiring diagram? Jut tell me where the 2 pump sensor wires go...
I bet the coding exists in the firmware, theres just no wire run to the sensor to trip the coding.

black is ground, and blue goes to the gauge module, connector A4 to be exact

Good work rbf...
By that diagram, a quick an easy test for this would be to plug a wire into A4 and ground it. If the "Washer fluid" pops up, you'll know if the firmware is in there.
I was planning to swap the greed leds (lights and cruise) to blue this weekend, I'll definately try it out.
Wonder where I can find the sensor... (or if the sensor is used across another model line, and can be retrofit. The tank has the slot for it, but would need to be cut precisely.
Any of our Canuck friends wanna help me out?
I'd be glad to work a parts exchange.

the mdx has a sensor, it's 66 bucks, but who no idea if it's the same part 76835-SHJ-C01
you will also need the gasket/bushing 76809-S84-C02 which is 5.59

did any body figure a way to put a sensor in the us model tl?i bought a u.s version tl and i live in canada. With the weather here during the winter time. Its a pain not having a windshield fluid. I check once in a while but having someone else use the car and go crazy with the fluid not knowing its done, and when its your turn to use it......anyways im just wondering if anyone out there tried putting a sensor, or can it be done? thanks
