Exclusive feature to the Canadian market. Seems our Northern cousins demanded that Acura do something to make them feel important after all these years of loyal support for the brand, so they threw 'em the washer warning light.
Rumor has it that the '05 TL in Canada will bundle both the washer warning light *and* the elusive gas cap door holder into the "Canadian Mountee Anniversary Edition" in Redondo Red / Ebony & White Plaid interior with special badges. I'm checking www.carspyphotos.com every day for updates.

an Acura has-been
Further to BJ, not only did Acura give Canada the exclusive low washer warning, they got the larger washer fluid resevor.
I guess they need something to go with the std DRL's in Canada
Seems uncomprehensable why they did what they did?

BJ: When you reply to a newbie on his first posting, you got to tell him not to take you seriously, or he might start to believe the stuff you say.
By the way, welcome, bankmax, to the forum and enjoy your ride.

Not a Blowhole
Uh, I never have seen one come on in any of my cars - it is part of my weekly check fluids protocol. Honestly, I do not see the big deal - just another thing to go wrong in my book, but I am weird. If I had a menu list of gizmos on the TL that i wanted to delete, it would be long. Like theater lighting for one.

I think in Canada they get more snow, and hence would need more windshield fluid with anti-defrost. So it comes w/ a light to warn the canadians just so that they're not caught w/o fluid in a snow storm. For us? not so much.
I remember my northern friend tell me that his A4 came w/ self heating windshield fluid sprayer and also heated door locks.

Max - I'm also new member / my 1st reply
I ran out of washer fluid this morning with no warning
My wife is at the dealer (Sussman in Maple Shade, NJ) as I am typing this (we both got TLs - her fog lights didn't work) so I asked her to check about this and they said they think there is a light and maybe my hose is kinked or something which I don't buy because it was squirting and then just stopped.
I believe the posts here and think the dealer just doesn't know the US model doesn't have one but I don't get the lack of warning light? I have gotten used to it from every other car. This makes no sense. Why would Canadian model differ?
Thorin - I'm from Philly too and think we also get pretty crappy weather and it hasn't even started snowing yet ...don't you feel ripped off?
BTW - what gives with manual heated side mirrors that don't time-out like the rear defrost? I always forget that obscure little switch and think I am going to burn out the element by leaving it on

I have had them in a Nissan, Mercedes, Infiniti and Mercury and they only come on with the rear defogger. I do not always need both.
To each their own.... Good observation.

It always scares me when the dealer "thinks" that something is there. Nothing like knowing your product line. I would think we would see a test-light light up when you click on the iginition no? I never thought much about it - but like most of these posts - now that I know, it will make me say - yeah, yeah why don't we have a warning light!
Sorry to hear about your kinked hose and that it stopped squirting. (Hey Mods, where did the little Monkey taking a leak icon go? Would have fit here nicely)
