Windshield washer aim is off

The aim of my passenger side washer is off. About 50% of the fluid actually hits the windshield, the rest goes up on the roof and a good amount makes it to the rear window (looks like it's raining back there). Driver side works no problem.

Before I fool with it, is it something I should try and adjust myself - or let the dealer handle it? Thanks.

LOL. I have the same problem. I was going to look at it today when I wax my car. I'll get back to you. I bet something is just caught in there.

Same here. Have not used it since the first time. The thing just sprays the windshield and everything else behind it, from the roof all the way back to the trunk. And I was at a stop too. Noticed all the spots when I parked.

It works when you are driving, but standing still the pressure shoots it over the car. In order for it to reach the whole windshield while pushing through 70 mph winds, I guess they aim it up to compensate.

I just had mine adjusted on my service trip yesterday. I haven't tried it yet, but the receipt says "adjusted back to specs" so let them have a look at it. covered under bumper-to-bumper Mine was shooting over even at highway speeds. And missing half of the driver's side.

The nozzles have a notch in them similar to a screw. Just use a screw driver to point them down.

moreace: thanks for the words of encouragement I'm glad they fixed something I use once a month, versus something that occurs daily.

Mine shoot high also.

Is adjusting them simple? On some cars you'd take a paper clip, stick it in the spary nozzle and just move them.

And, the right side of the passenger's window doesn't always get cleared by the wiper.

I was at the dealership getting my washer system checked (no fluid, PDI issue). They filled it up and tested it. Here's the funny part....

I was standing by the side of the car and there was a tech standing in front of my rear license plate...

when they tested it, I just watched the first spray take air and shower the guy right over the entire length of the car.

Needless to say, they needing a little adjusting.

I can't believe nobody has posted the correct answer to this inquiry yet! Your washer aim is correct. The reason it is aimed so high is so that you can use the washers at highway speeds. If they were pointing low, their efficiency on a highway would be near nill!

Too bad Honda-America didn't Opt for the wiperless windscreen system--like the systems on aircraft.

Using under the hood temperatures and airpressure to dispense of that unwanted H20.

Ummm ... you do understand that at non-highway speeds their usefulness is near nill. I've never had a car that has had the washers aimed so high.

I think it really is too high - and it's not correct. The driver side is aimed lower, and it works fine at low and highway speeds. I think the driver side does hit the windshield relatively high, but it doesn't go over the roof.
