I've owned Acura product since 1992 and have never seen the amount of windshield chipping I've got on my 7 week old TL.

I know Acura put in this cool "acoustic" glass, but is it weaker?

I got the first chip on my 2000 TL's window (I traded it yesterday for a 2004) driving on the LIE. I live in NJ, but I was driving out to a client in Beth Page. There's so much crap on the road because of the construction that trucks are kicking up stones all the time.

 

Oh man, there is always construction on the LIE, its crazy. Friday night they shut a lot of it down, at least in Nassau County, and there were DOZENS of trucks on the service road. It looked like a government convoy. Unfortunately a kid in a nearby school district got killed that night by one of those trucks. Kid from my school was riding with him.
