window tinting looks greenish

Just recently got my windows tinted with high quality films by Johnson's. The tint was 20 percent and it looked black at an angle, but looking straight on it, it seems to have a greenish hue. I don't like it since my car is a NBP and I would like the tint to be "black".....well is this due to the windows being temperlite and already having that greenish hue? How would I be able to get black tint film to show over that green hue? I just spent freaking 6 hours pulling that tint off and that nasty adhesive....I might go 17 percent all around...but hope it isn't too dark that is noticeable to the cops...

Any input on this would be great, in looking to tint my windows as well, have no idea what percent looks good on a TL, I have an 04, what year is yours. I as well have the greenish hue from the temperlite glass.

I got mine done with 35% pinnacle (ceramic film) and there's no green hue whatsoever. You might have used a dye or metallic based tint.

so all metallic based tint produces that green hue? or that the greenish of the temperlite actually shows thru the tint?

well i know for sure the ceramics are flat blacks. metallics and dyes can possibly have hued reflections to them (e.g. the metallic hued oakley reflection)

Hondas/Acuras use glass with a green, heat-rejecting tint. Sounds like your aftermarket tint is bringing it out more than usual.

graphite tint reflects the color of your glass. Same thing happened to me with my truck. went to a different tint shop and there tint was fine.
