Question Window Tint Problems????

I was talking with a salesman at an Acrua dealership in Houston about window tint on TL's. He said that the TL's hahe a very tight rubber seal on the inside of the window as he has seen some customers complaining that their window tint film has gotten scratched from dirt, snd, etc, that may build up on the inside.

He was actually trying to talk me out of getting the tint installed.

Anyone have or seen this problem??

Oh Boy

I hope you make it out of here alive after that question

That is one of the most talked about topics here. Just search for tint scratching and you will find answers.

The quick answer is that you need something called moleskin installed on the seals to prevent scratches. There is a vendor here that sells it or you can find a tint shop that knows what they are doing and will install it for you. Good Luck!

Welcome to the forums.

Search for "felt" or "moleskin" and you will see many threads. Also, if you want to find a good tint shop, search for your area as well.

Before you ask, certain tinting films will not affect the navigation reception either as some Acura sales people like to assume. Search is your friend.
