Yes, TL-S will be released AFTER the new RL. The new RL will come out spring of '04.

MY GOD Ken dont answer when you aren't sure..
No one is sure if there will be any more Type-S's
Acura Announced there will be no Type-S's anymore and RSX-S Will be the last one.. They are trying to get rid of them..
Justin from A-TSX also said there will be no Type-S..
This all suggests there will be no Type-S
But sometimes Companies lie to get sales, they might have a Type-S After all to bump up sales halfway through the generation, but than again No One knows

I was at the dealership yesterday for service and my sales person said NO Type S. Stock has 270hp (I think that is what he said), it may be 280hp, I can't remember. The Type S was only a 2002 / 2003 model.

There WILL be a sportier model, whether its called a Type S or not, I don't know. It'll be out AFTER Spring '04 (with the RL debut)
It won't be a Type S though, thats being phased out (exception being the RSX) instead FP (Factory Performance) will be the norm for Acura. Upgrades in suspension, tires first. Later transmission and even engine upgrades. Acura's goal is to have an in-house group that will come up with all this. (Think of AMG, M and others)

I speculate there might be a type-s TL in the future. Of course the sale person said there will not be any, cuz he or she doesn't want people to wait for a model that's not being produced yet. 04TL is being produced, and that's what they want to sell right now...
If Acura does not have type s on the drawing board, they are making big mistakes. In fact they should have type-s for all acura models, RL and MDX too. I just don't see how Acura could compete with BMW, Lexus or infiniti with so little options on all their models. Look at FX35/45 and MDX, who would pick MDX??? MDX might have advantage on off-road, but NOBODY really goes off-road, to the parking lot maybe. I would take the FX35 anytime over MDX. If Acura makes MDX more sporty, both perforrmance and design, than it's a different game.

I am hoping that acura will make TL S in the future. If the TLS comes out 300+ Hp, ~300 Tq, AWD, and under 40K, I will be a happy man ever, and also the first one in line to get it. No questions ask.
