Ask yourself what you're looking for, for your life situation in the next 3-5 years.

 

Why would you get a Civic for 18k when you can get a Chevy Aveo for 8k? Why would you get a Chevy Aveo for 8k when you can get a bike for $800? Why would you get a bike for $800 when you can get a bus pass for $80?

 

get the tl because you will regret it when your driving the civic

I was in the market for a brand new honda civic, then I test drove a used TL and now I can't think of anything else besides the TL

my girlfriend drives a civic and she makes me drive it when we decide to take her car to go out, the two vehicles are nowhere near being in the same class

 

Why get a bus pass for $80 when you can get $8 sandals?
