The choice of material/texture not so much... but everyone has his/her own taste... maybe he/she had a pair of gator shoes and/or pants that are their favorite and decided to wrap their car interior in it... it's their car and they could do what they want with it...

The work done is actually amazing, if instead of "alligator skin" they used another material, this would be FIRE, well besides the roof design.

 

The work is done by the 3rd party, an elder gentleman with a superb talent.

The color was picked by the owner...

This is actually pretty cool. If the owner encountered annoying cars on the road, he could slip behind them and do the PIT maneuver on them without any damage to his car!
