Who's rockin front aspec only?

I am looking to purchase the aspec front lip for my 08 wdp tl-s, who has this setup? I dont want to get the whole thing because I have the infamous back bumper that doesnt match the rest of the car so I'm afraid to get the back lip kit and it not match the rest of the bumper. If I'm not makin since let me know And yes I have searched and couldnt find any info, for those who would like to know. Thanks in advance for those who can help a guy out.

Welcome! Don't let the WDP paint scare you from buying the rear A-Spec piece. If it doesn't match, it shouldn't be that terrible.

front bumper doesn't match either (will probably be more noticeable with lip on) unless you repaint

if you get the aspec rear lip already painted, it usually matches the (mismatched) color of the rear bumper so you dont have to worry about it being 3 different shades of white. And if it comes unpainted, I'd just pay a little extra and paint the bumper as well so everything matches the car.

Welcome to AZ I think the full kit will look best. It's intended that way.

Meh, don't succumb to peer pressure. You can certainly purchase the kit one piece at a time. You may not save as much money that way (of course, buying used will offset your expenses some), but you also don't have to fork out $700+ at one time, either.
I started with the font lip (new), then added the rear (used). The problem with my plan is that NOBODY seems to be selling used A-Spec sides, so I will probably have to get them new.
BTW, I feel you on the paint mismatch---it seems that WDP and the metallic colors all suffer from this problem.
Anyway, here is how I look currently (base side skirts, A-Spec front & rear):

I would get the whole kit at once. Its much easier to deal with and just instal it in a few hours. The mis match paint wont be too obvious unless you point it out to someone.

Wow, so it kind of sounds like a unanimous decision. Thanks for convincing me to spend 700+ smackers... And by the way DWB993 your car is sick, I always figured you can run the kit without the sideskirts and not look bad. The aspec sideskirts arent that much different IMO.

Get the whole kit

Not trying to be an ass because you're relatively new but this topic has been discussed multiple times before. If the search function here on Acurazine doesn't work for you, Google works great. Over 5 threads were found when I searched "A-Spec front lip only".

Anyways, good luck installing the kit! It's not too hard and it changes the whole presence of the car

^ ?? No, it's not...

EDIT* Oh I see what you mean. I don't think it matters either way, as it answers the OP's question.

Well, mine's an '06, so that's the only available choice; but, it gives the OP an idea of what installing just the front will look like with the flow of the body lines.

the type S aspec front is a lot more aggressive than the base aspec
imo you need to complete the kit with the type S, on the base you can pull off just the front

Or consider converting over to the base version. A few people have done it, but I'm not sure how much extra work it requires.

I agree that you can't get away with a TYPE-S front lip only because it's so noticeable, but 04-06 or the base 07-08 lip you could probably get away with just the front lip.

Your car looks great without the side skirts, any non-enthusiast wouldn't even notice anything was off. Side skirts would always be a plus but I think this look isn't bad. That being said, this car only pulls it off because it is lowered.

Not to be a smart ass but I typed in the exact same thing and it brings up pages upon pages of stuff. Does it work better if I use quotes? This was my first post simply cause I couldnt find it by searching? But anyway yeah I think Im gonna by the whole kit, the cheap ass in me was thinking I could only do the front and spend money on other mods, I have to catch up to you ballers somehow

Thanks, guys.
I'm on Tein H-Techs, so that was a cheap way of getting a nice drop without sacrificing too much ride quality.
I guess my point is that with a little time and somewhat less money, you can still achieve a great look. I had actually been in negotiations on the rear lip for over a year (more due to my back surgery problems than anything) and drove to Florida to pick it up from another member on AZ.
I think it was well worth the wait and effort.

Yeah I know it's a pain to search. Google works great, just put Acurazine before whatever you are looking for. I don't use quotes.

Like you, I wanted to just get the front lip, but I decided to wait and get the whole kit at once. Everything on the car seems to flow better if the whole kit is on. Yeah it's more expensive up front but I truly think you get your moneys worth from it
