I'm about to replace the clutch on my 06 Acura TL (125k miles), and I'm sourcing/shopping around for all the parts. I've seen a couple people have problems with defective throwout bearings that come with the OEM/Luk clutch kit. Most of the parts I've sourced from Rock Auto or Amazon for the best prices, but I'm thinking about going OEM on the throwout bearing. I'd hate to put everything together just to have to tear it apart again due to a faulty throwout bearing.

So my question is, any idea who makes the bearing that comes with the Luk kit? If it's certainly the same as the OEM bearing (such as Timken or SKF, etc.) then I'll go with it. But Rock Auto also has a couple options as well. Anybody have any insight for me? Thanks.

just buy the OEM throw out bearing and pilot bearing.
