Who here garages their TL?

Hey guys I'm going to be transferring this summer to a different college and I'm debating if I should find a place with a garage. I have a garage at my current place of residence and have no complaints. Is it worth the extra $$$ to find a place with a garage or just use the complex's lot? Any of you guys regret never getting a garage from the start? Thanks in advance guys.

I garage my car daily. My Tl is NBP so it's kinda necessary..lol

I'm assuming your TL is WDP. You can probably get away w/o garaging it as dust won't show up as easily.

I bought my house specifically because it had a good garage. Since I'm a car guy I will always garage my cars. It's nice to have an extra means of security too, I can sleep well knowing my car isn't as big of a target to thieves.

well, since you're in fl, snow isnt such a big deal, but I see occasional posts around here about bad things happening to ungaraged TLs that make me fairly grateful to have one.

What part of orlando are you planning on living in? I live in East Orlando..

If you decide to live in East Orlando, a nice place to live is Cypress Lakes by Waterford. I used to live there and rent a garage. It was an extra 100.00 a month tho.. but I had a hooked up civic back then and HAD to garage it.. Orlando is known for stolen cars so I would recommend it!!

That civic ended up getting stolen when I sold it.. dogh.. The new owner did NOT garage it.. Stolen in front of his house.

I guess the better question would be who has a garage but does not put their TL in it. Unlike many of you the TL is my nicest car.

I live in queens and live in one of the apartment complex. But still pay a monthly garage just because people in NY just don't give a shit about your car. So yes, pay the extra $$$ to protect your baby.

We had our single-home built in 1999 and it has a 2-car attached garage. The model we chose and the options we selected resulted in a fairly large garage which also contains all of my tools, a bench, snow blower and other random stuff. Both of my 3G TL's live in there and mine never sees the snow. What amazes me is some of my neighbors put all manner of things in their garages and consequently, they have no room left for any of their cars - which then stay in their driveways. Both of my daughters are the same way with their houses. What gives??

I guess it comes down to a matter of priorities.

not to sound like a *ick but, do you really need to make a post asking us if you should put your car in a garage for storage?

If your not going to drive it for a while and have a garage why not use it? You wont get your car nicked, or have it rained on, or have the hot sun beating on it.

No offense taken, I'll be driving my car everyday since it will be my only means of transportation, but whenever I'm home it would be in the garage. I guess my main concern is people messing with it.

Try and get the garage for sure. If your campus is anything like mine was the parking spots are tight as hell and the money you'll end up spending on fixing those damn dents and dings you might as well try and keep that baby safe. Good Luck

I share an apartment with 2 other roomates, I get home the earliest so I garage my car but, when it's brutally cold in the morning I have to move their car, it's worth it

same with me, i live in the bronx, apartment complex where u would park your car overnight and it would probably be stolen or broken into, plus you cannot find parking space almost anywhere on the side street. you have to back in bumper to bumper with other car while they are coming out hitting your bumper. i paid $150 (indoor garage) to have my car safe and secure, i feel more confident and can sleep at night. My friend has a camry 2009 park everyday in the street until one of those jelous kids wrote ASSHOLE in the hood with a key, the funny thing that he painted the hood and the word ASSHOLE was there AGAIN 4 days after. he did not learn his lesson the first time.

All depends on the area.

I have a garage but do not keep my CL-S in it. I have never had any problems with people messing with it, even when I lived in an apartment complex.

If you're in a good area its not likely, plus thats what insurance is for. If you can afford the extra $$ tho, it does help with peace of mind.

Yup Cypress Lakes is a good bet unless you rent a house.. It is on Alafaya. 5 minutes from UCF.. Right next to the huge Waterford shopping plaza. It is a VERY NICE place to live if you can afford it. I had a 2 bedroom with the garage for 1100 a month. But that was 5 years ago.

Get a garage. I parked my CL-S outside but since I got the TL, I'm fortunate enough to park in the garage

My car is in the garage everyday and I'm very lucky to have one. I don't have to worry about anything happening to it. So if you can, find a garage.

PEACE!

I garage mine. I would if I were you. So many stupid people out there will vandalize your car and it will also keep it cleaner. I think it is totally worth spending the extra money. Just my honest opinion. But then again, who wouldn't suggest garaging their car?

My TL parks safely in the garage between an 07 GL450 and an 06 Corvette Z06. I wouldn't be able to swallow the idea of parking the TL outside year round. With a garage, you're safe from vandals, snow, ice, rain, and hail. Worth the extra money for the peace of mind.
