I choose the funded on my own option, but in reality it will be funded by the Yahoo! skeptics. I'm 24, and 30 months ago when I graduated college I was probably the only one of my buddies that actually invested my savings. Anyways, I bought two stocks as my first investment in ~ August 2002, $2500 in each one. Sonic Blue (sblu) and Yahoo (yhoo). Sonic Blue was my get rich quick stock. Unfortunately it went bankrupt. On the other hand, Yahoo is up about 760% since I bought to over 19k. Of course I learned my lesson with sonic blue and don't go for the high risk ultra small stocks (although theres nothing inherently wrong with doing so as long as you diversify and research the company first).
My favorite college professor (an economics prof) once said in class "you can buy an accord today or 2 benz tommorrow" in reference to the value of putting off current day consumption in favor of the future. And that statement always stuck in my head.
So in summary, I feel like I'm getting half my car for free all because so many people were down on Yahoo & a couple of other stocks in 2002.

It's currently showing "0" votes, that may have been the most appropriate response?

No, I actually selected the option 'funded completely on my own' since as you know, what's his is mine and what's mine is mine!
BTW, he didn't much care for the pic of Grandpa Simpson. But I explained that I had to use that one because there isn't one of Brad Pitt!

After meeting your husband at the first SF meet, I would say agree that he looks more like Brad Pitt, than Grandpa Simpson.

I had horrible credit, luckily I was working a lot of overtime and they approved me based on income alone which was based on my last 3 paycheck stubs. My rate was going to be very high. I didn't bother asking the parents to co-sign because I was getting older (29th birthday,my present to me) and my dad isn't the type to take a risk on me lol. So I was going to take it in the rear on the rate.
Got a surprise call from my father kind of pissed offering to co-sign to get a lower rate. I jumped on it even though it hurt my pride and now I'm paying 2.9% through Honda. So in short, I financed the car but the parents helped to get a lower rate.

Keep Right Except to Pass
The TL was the first time I bought a brand-new car. Previous ones had all been used. About half of the down payment came from the insurance payout on my previous car, which was declared a total loss after I got rear-ended.

Funded entirely on my own. My parents are so cheap, if I counted on them to fund my car for me I'd be driving something like a 25 year old Cavalier. My TL should be entirely paid off in a few more months. Can't wait to be done with the payments.

Paid for on my own. My first car I bought when I was 21 had to be cosigned by my parents though, and I had help with the downpayment. All 5 or so cars I've owned since then I've purchased on my own.

Yes this thread is old, but it is actually interesting. I believe threads that have good data don't have expiration dates, and are not negatively affected by time.
I financed mine, zero down. It is too expensive, but man do I enjoy it. I would have never been able to get such a car until just recently. I couldn't imagine driving something of this caliber at 18-23 years of age, unreal.
