Who else is going to Supercharge their TL!

I am going to definitely supercharge my TL with Comptech when the kit is released in July.

Who else is going to get it done for sure?

I live in South Florida. WE can get together and get a discount on labor and the parts for sure. The more people the less it will cost us.

Either way, I will be at some of the meets so you can get a ride!

Galeforce... they're expecting nearly identical results as w/ the previous generation TL/CL .. roughly 30-40whp and 30-40lb-ft of torque across the band. And 15-20whp/tq more for the 6MT-ers b/c of less worry about strain on the tranny.

If you doubt it, make the phone call yourself to Comptech like a few of us have. Speak with Nate, and he'll give you all the finer points.

I'd like to drop in a supercharger, It would be nice to have a little more torque.

Will it VOID the warranty ??. I would think it would not be worth it ,if it voided the warrantany for very little net gain in HP, 0-60 times.....

IMHO, you would be hard pressed to find a dealer that would cover any type of powertrain issue under warranty. For non-powertrain related items (e.g. seat memory switches), your warranty would still be in effect.

As discussed MANY times before, different dealers have different stances towards installation and support of comptech parts in acuras/hondas. The forced induction issue is a bit tough, however, since it definitely puts a marked load on the engine that clearly the car wasn't designed for. I wouldn't be surprised if Park Ave Acura covers the charger no problem, while 90% of other US dealers would laugh at you if you asked them to cover you under the engine warranty after they installed the charger.

TL-S's w/ the 5AT (duh) and the charger dropped their 1/4's by 0.7 to 1.0 seconds. They were also running the headers, however, which made a big difference. We'll be able to install the charger which comes w/ the icebox, and the CT exhaust system that includes a b-pipe and twin exhausts. It might drop the 1/4 on the 5AT by anywhere from 0.5 to 0.7 seconds properly driven.
