I just installed them, the license plate lights work great, it looks sweet, but the trunk lights didnt work. I just took out the factory light, wired in the power and ground to the blue inverter thing and plugged it all in- but they never turned on. Its dark out so Ill play with it tomorrow. It shouldnt have blown the fuse cause I had the batt disconnected when I was working.

I recently installed new cathodes for the license plate lights from all_city. They looked great until about a day later when one of the two cathode tubes burnt out. I reached out to all_city and they werent helpful at all. Hey, at least one of them is working so I dont have to take the whole damn trunk apart again!

Someone had asked a while back to post up pics of what a 3 CCFLs setup would look like. Sorry it took so long but just found them during some late spring cleaning.
The housing is made using the plastic casing the cathodes came in and I used reflective A/C tape on the inside of the housing. Each side has a narrow slot to aid in ventilation and the L shaped slot is for the wire pass through from the backup camera.

Wow, that's like asking for a miracle....
I think the picture below is with the 3 cathodes on each side installed, but the pic was back in 2008 and not that great so I can't be sure. I don't have the 3 cathode setup installed currently otherwise I'd take a current pic.
The 3 cathode setup is pretty bright so this pic doesn't do it justice.

I guess it was a great thread back in the days, nowadays you can just change your license plate lights with LEDS for about not even 5 bucks, lots of threads about this.
