Where to get bumper plugs?

Ive decided althought MO law requires front license plate 1 in 20 cars i see around here dont have it ive asked friends etc. main idea: im going to take the front plate off!

I need to get some bumper plugs for the two holes... where should i get these. I heard you can get them for free from dealership somehow? im taking my car in next week for some bumper paint repairs and such, so if thats true, please tell me as id like to get some!

Also, for coloring Acura logo, would the little 6 dollars decals off ebay work?

T3H, yes, the dealership should give you bumper plugs. The Ebay decals are OK, but you should be able to find nicer ones online. The $6.00 ones will work, but try some places like nycdashes.com to see if they still make them. Places that make dash kits might have some.

I got some for my old Lexus from here, it's a company local to Charlotte:
http://www.bumperplugs.com/BPindex.html

They are a little pricey but they are very high quality and the paint is matched exactly to your car. It looks like they have most Acura colors. They also do key plugs for your doors.

Which dealership are you going to? When I asked for some, the parts guy at Mungenast pulled out a box of about 500 plugs and gave me two for free.

And I haven't had a front plate for over a year.

yeah they're starting to be a-holes...i also called for the trans drain & re-fill and they want $105! yet the parts guy tells me it only takes 3 quarts & they're $8.95 each...so only $96 in labor! right.

just went to my local acura dealership in alhambra and the parts guy said they dont have em. i went and talked to the guys in the back in the shop and they said they don't have em. however, they have plenty of license plate screws and mounts if you need them.

i wonder if it's worth a shot to go to the honda dealer and pick up some nbp bumper plugs?

One of mine popped out. The dealership didn't have anymore so they had to order them. It was $8.20. I'd go there. Cheaper than even that eBay auction.

Ebay was $10 for both +2 shipping but I guess it depends on the price the dealer gives you...mine said $15 each.

went to the dealer and talked to my service manager. first he told me no but i could order them. I was waiting on line at the parts dept.area and he came up and dropped a pair in my hand. they seem to have them kicking around, you just got to get someone to go take a look in the prep area for them.

None of the dealers in Florida had any when I asked because all the cars left the dealership with them on. I was on a trip to Rhode Island and stopped into a dealer and asked. I have a kbp, and naturally they didn't have any plugs that color. But they did have the royal blue pearl ones. I took them and bought the 6 dollar touch up paint and painted them on my own. The color is pretty close. Not completely exact but its really hard to tell. And I didn't spend 40 dollars on new ones, so I'm satisfied.

Just wanted to add that mine showed up today. The seller on Ebay is legit and for less than $13 I FINALLY got a pair of KBP plugs.

Thanks OP.

Hmm maybe i'll try to get rid of my front plate bracket. I haven't taken it off since I don't have any nice plugs for the holes. I guess it's worth a shot to see if the dealer would charge me for them

just took my vehicle in for servicing today. asked the service adviser at the end of day for a pair of bumper plugs and he got em for me

last time, i just tried walking in and asking them for the plugs and they didnt know what i was talking about . i would suggest asking them for bumper plugs next time you take your car in for servicing.
