Hey everyone, I’m new here and hope I’m posting in the correct place, just bought an 04 Acura TL and it only came with one key, which is the valet key, I would like to find an OE key and remote for this car, without paying the premium at the dealership. Anyone know of any places to get these at? Or is it best to just pay the premium? I wanted to find a key that had the remote built into it, or try to switch out the 04 ignition with an 08 ignition because I believe the 08 had a different style key with the remote built in. Would this work? Thanks in advance!

They sell the switchblade keys milled down to fit the ignition you have now. You would just need to have a locksmith cut and program it to the car
EndLessRPM and heeltoe are both vendors in here who sell them I believe
I believe most people usually take something out of the original key and put it into the milled switchblade, since you only have the valet key you may have to figure out that barrier.

Maybe be someone who has actually done this can chime in, I have only reasearched a bit but haven’t pulled the trigger yet
