No...the directions will tell you to...but you can just remove the front drivers wheel and quickly take out the inner wheel well lining (easy easy easy and fast) and you will have all the access you need! Taking the front bumper off does help to remove the old airbox...but it can be accomplished without with a little doing. I NEVER removed bumper whatsoever.

like Michael said, no need to remove the bumper, just follow the instructions and avoid draining the radiator fluid.....you will spill some by not doing it but not as much as you will if you actually drain it and it will cut down on the actual installation time...good luck....

AEM did it for me. But DIY is better. So you know what needs to be done and do it right.

MichaelBenz. i did ask them and they said they are not planning on doing that for the TL. That's back when they did the prototype CAI on my car which was a year ago. Maybe with the new TL-S are out maybe someone can do a R&D for the vehicle.

You know what's funny.....I don't know if my CAI are CARB certified since they never given me a CARB decal LOL

i just installed my fujita a week ago (with my brothers help). i took off the driver wheel and wheel lining and jacked it up (easiest way). this is the first car that i've ever messed with in terms of installs. the job took me like 2.5 hrs because of some of the bolts holding the factory intake were a pain to reach, and i misplaced some useful tools.... imo its better to diy, its fun, you learn more about your car, and feel accomplished knowing you did it.. and u save money too
