Where do you clear your headlights?

I see a lot of people on the forum with cleared headlights. I am wondering where people get this done because I can't imagine everyone does it themselves.

Basically 3 options

1: Do it yourself, there is some very good DIY step by step tutorials on here.

2: Find someone local to help you do it.

3: Send them to JnC.

The first 2 are either free or cheap, the third option will cost you about $200.

Personally I have done option 2 and they didn't come out as good as I had hoped and I am now doing option 3.

JNC you will have to pay shipping to and from, just something to factor in as well, shipping ain't cheap. Plus if you go through JNC you will have to remove/install them yourself. I think the guy in New Jersey will probably do all that for you.

Again nothing against JNC, he does great work, but if you have a guy who is local who can do a good job as well that is probably the better route.

^HAHAHA that is true!!!

I had my headlights done my JnC and I love them! Could I have done them myself? Yes, but it's cold out, I don't have a garage, and I didn't want to deal with it. Also, I think the price JnC charges is very reasonable, especially if you don't know how to do this or don't want to tackle this yourself. Think about how many sets of lights he has done? Do you think bodyshops have that experience? I don't know any that do!

I do mine in my kitchen, I did three sets of lights on my other car, and I'll be doing the TL once my car gets out of the shop and it gets a little warmer.

Yeah I just use the clear silicone that comes in the tube.

When I put them back together I have always used the adhesive that is already on there from when I pulled them apart. Then I just run a bead around the seam. Never had a problem with leaking or fogging.

Are you taking the corner diffusers out?

Absolutely, hopefully my car will be out of the shop by then. Went by there today, and they said they found more damage in the trunk area. I'm also having them fix a small dent and a chip in the paint on the passenger side while it's in there.

I hoping it'll be done by the weekend, but I think that's wishful thinking, lol.

I don't feel bad, I just like to offer. After being cooped up in an office all week, I like to get a little messy on the weekends.
