Where can i find a cold air system??
ive found a few cold air intakes like injen and aem, and i was just wondering if anyone knew of any others that were out there, these ones are sellin for round 250 or so, and im tryin to find the 'best buy'

I thought the '04 had a factory cold air intake?
Granted it isn't the pretty polished tube that most vroom vroom cars have, but it also is not as noisy.

Cold Air System
Hey in have 2 extra injen intakes brand new still in box. One is polished and the other is power coat black. Polished is going for 220 shipped anywhere in the usa. Power coat black is 230 shipped anywhere in the usa.

that is correct -- factory cold air induction is standard

It seems as though Injen is the way to go these days as far as intake systems. I almost prefer a powdercoat over polished as I believe it doesn't build up as much heat but I guess the change in temperature is minimal so it wouldn't matter so much.

will it pass CA Emission Standards
will putting a CAI system violate CA Emission laws?
not really a car techie here so just wanted to make sure its safe to use for passing the smog checks

from all the research ive seen looking for a CAI its going to be around 250ish so your about right and maybe if you waited until the 05's came out you might save a few bucks on a intake

Why would you think the 2005 is going to come with a custom CAI. It's not. They wouldn't do that from the factory. They 2005 is going to be the exact same car as the 2004. Why change? Acura is selling all they can produce.

it would be helpful if someone posted a DIY with pics...if i ever put the injen in, im going to do that for this forum. im still debating if i want that sound in a luxury car, although i love that noise

As far as DIY pictures; buy an Injen. It comes with instructions and pictures of what you are doing. I suppose the only vague part is how to get the bumper off, but figuring that out is fun.
