Where can I find an aspec???

I'm now deciding...aspec or type s? But the aspec seems to be very rare...I want it because of the styling and handling.
Any help?

before you ask this question, have you even looked at what's available in your area? can you get a a-spec or a tl type-s in your area for a good price?

if so go with a 6spd type-s if you can find one. if not, go for a base 6spd tl, or a a-spec if u can find one

I will definitely get the manual, but there seem to be a lot of type s in my area. I just love the look of the aspec. It is impossible to fin one here though, maybe I will get a base and then do an aspec conversion later

Aspecs around here are mostly built instead of bought

^ I agree most (including myself) are built not bought.

Like everyone has said 6spd Type-S the way to go (if you can find one) but it seems to me you want style over performance then Aspec or Base TL and then build it.

The ASpec option was around $5,000 IIRC and literally no one got it. There's an 06 TL ASpec that parks in the parking garage where I work and it is mint. It's got the kit, wheels, suspension, steering wheel inserts and badge. I've never seen te driver to talk about the car.

The base tl is plenty fast, I wouldn't mind having a type s but the styling just doesnt grab me like the aspec styling does. How much is the aspec kit at the dealer? And does it includenthe suspension too or just the appearance?

the kit can be found on this forum through one of our vendors (AckTL05)
he can get you the kit for I believe ~$750.

no, the suspension is different and you would have to buy it separately. it cost about ~$300-400

I could be wrong but my understanding is that A-Spec is only a body kit, suspension and wheels.. nothing to do with the engine

the Type S does give you the above but in Type S version and also a wider intake and exhaust... about 5% bigger than stock

and I say all this from doing searches, searches, searches and searches
as everyone says.. if you can find a Type S manual then get that and find all the a-spec pieces

I just hope you don't have a CBP car. That kit is no where to be found since Acura discontinued the color.

actually the suspension costs brand new $600 from curry acura. BM on the other hand your can find one for $3-400.

yes...an actual registered "Aspec TL", that is a unicorn. i think i've only seen maybe two in the last 7 years. nobody wanted to spend the $5k for mostly aesthetics and a suspension mod.

type-s MT its a unicorn, but with patience they can be found.

as many others have stated search and ye may find the answers you seek.
