where to buy MLEP

I have about 4300 miles and about 50% onthe mid and I amthinking of changing the oil I bought the Havoline dino oil as I recall it was high in moly as an interim step to switching to syn ( probably castrol blend syntec) I want to do the MLEP for this oil change but can't find it in advance auto parts which the valvoline website recomended Pep boys?

I got mine at Pep Boys. I later saw it cheaper at Wal Mart.

The Havoline dino is a good choice , and since it already has plenty of Moly, I do no see any need to add MLEP. At 4,300 miles, I also recommend changing the oil soon.

I had changed my oil 3 times already, between 4,200-4,500 miles each time. After the next oil change at about 18,000 miles, I probably will switch over to full synthetic, and longer OCI.

I found it at walmart thanks for the tip. You are probably correct about the MLEP in this instance I don't think it can hurt. The car companies have just confused us with these oil moniters sigh... It is just not cost effective to do the oil analyisis thing for midlevel oci. I don't think it is worth it to push for real extended intervels. My oil on the dipstick still looks like new BTW. OTOH I had a nissan maxima and went strictly by the book on oci every 7000 with dino oil. It got rearended at 155,000 and was totaled it still did not burn any oil in between oil changes blew no smoke at the rear and had plenty of power. OCI of 3 mos or 3000 is just a bad habit at this point and a relic of the past like cross drilled brakes.

MLEP does nothing. You could use a bottle of engine assembly lube too, it has plenty of moly-disulfide in it. But in the end it really does nothing.
