Where to buy the AC compressors components ?
Does anyone here ever replace your AC clutch/pulley/coil ? I'm not talking about the whole compressors . Just those 3 parts. If so , which one did you buy ?
Thanks !!! |

From the prices I see, probably less expensive just to get a new compressor.
The factory parts, discount, $286. Advance Auto $350. |
I am also wondering about this too.
My AC recently doesn't work and I think my compressor pulley is making a knocking sound. I'd like to avoid having to recharge the AC system and all that. It is without a doubt a cheaper method to buy the whole compressor with the clutch attached. I'm confident to change out the clutch system, but I don't feel confident at all dealing with refrigerant and such. |
I just got a used Type S one from our members here.....but yeah I will just use the clutch assemblies and keep the compressor. What really fail is the coil behind the pulley.
Now question , I went thru this thread earlier and the op has mentioned to make sure the gap btwn the clutch and the pressue plate is 0.3 - 0.55mm .....not sure what he means by this , " pressure plate and pulley. the acura defined spec is 0.3mm - 0.55mm" Does this mean if I can turn the pulley freely w/o touching anything then we call its good ? |
