When will we have bargaining power?!!
My lease is done Jan 20th 2007 and I would like to get a 2007 TL base w/navi. right now dealerships are firm at $34,995. Last month I could have gotten a 2006 TL w/navi for $31,600. I was hoping to get a 2007 for $32,600 by Jan 20th. Anyone think this will be possible?

No, I don't.
The reason you could have gotten the '06 at the price you mentioned was due, at least in part, to Acura offering incentives to the dealers to move the '06 models.
About the only thing that would be going in your favor would be the fact that none of the '07 models are likely to have been on the lot for very long when you're ready to sign. That means you can argue hard for getting the car at basically the invoice price, or slightly less.

I think you can get the 07 at that price. By that time, the 06's will be gone, end of the year discounts will start kicking in, people won't have money after the holidays and dealer inventory depending on where you live should be ample.

You're going to be looking at anywhere from $500 to $1500 over invoice on these cars for a while, unless you can find a dealer that's incented by something other than Acura, or if you've been buying cars from them for a long time...

Right now, the '07 is a sought-after car - it's new to the market, supply is low, and dealers aren't willing to "deal".

Don't get me wrong - I fully encourage anyone to haggle with the dealer, and pay no more than $300 over invoice for ANY car, EVER. Understanding what the dealer invoice is, using that as a starting price, NEVER renegotiating price if you are trading, and knowing that the dealer CAN and WILL sell you the car at invoice and STILL make 3% on the car will allow you to bargain.
One other thing that I will typically do is NEVER, EVER, EVER test drive a car at the dealer I actually buy from (if you have that as an option). I walk in and avoid the sales staff all together - go straight to the sales manager, tell him I'm ready to buy, and expect to basically sit down with the finance person. I will also call dealers and tell them point blank: "I'll buy a car from you today if you'll sell it to me at this price." It works.
