when does the VTEC kick in?

at what rpm does the vtec kick in?

"vtec" is always on, the cam profile changes somewhere in the 4k rpm range (i'm not 100% to the exact rpm).
in MT or AT you should feel/hear it as you accelerate.

Yes, it's 4700 RPM and a simple search would tell the original poster that.
