When does it stop...long...

When I upgraded from the 2002 RSX-S to my '05 TL I thought it was all that the RSX wasn't, fast, luxurious, had HIDS, fogs, Brembos and all what the RSX-S was missing and I wanted to do these mods to it but decided against it.
I became a member of this very informative site and found out that the TL was also missing "some items" that I had to get, now the Brembos, fogs, HIDs were not enough....
1st mod was to switch to the synthetic oil, 2nd the AEM CAI, 3rd the rear spoiler, 4th the GM Syncromesh, 4th the nose cover and not too recently the Pzeros which again made me feel that I had achieved my goal of the PERFECT car....but nooooooooo, now I see that the shortshifter is available and so is the A Spec suspension and I'm starting to go crazy just thinking if I really need these since I like the way my shifter shifts ( "a lot shorter travel than the RSX-S"... I say to myself trying to remember that this is an improvement to what I had before and I should be happy)......but noooo, I see the car sitting in my driveway and looking at the gap between the tire and the wheel well and I'm saying to myself, it's what I would have paid extra to get the A-Spec on the RSX-S since stock it looked like the gap of a four wheel drive..........so when does it stop?.
Personally I don't have any regrets and I'm with all my mods....wait I forgot to mention that I switched to the "yellow FOGs"...just because...... , but I'm afraid I will do something to the car that I will regret and the fun will stop right there and then.....Are there any mods that you regret?...

Whenever I get in that mood to add a mod, I do it to my civic. The TL is simply sacred. Once I dropped in the K&N filter and upgraded the foglights, I called it a day.

Only thing I've done to mine is installing Philips Premium 9006 lamps in the fog lights. Oh, unless you count the Rotex Gold Kevlar front brake pads (for low dusting on the Brembos) and my new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires.

I agree with Inaccurate and xtin. Mod all you like. I would only caution that if selling or trading the car is in your future, remember your audience and make sure you can return things to a sales-friendly condition.

Man oh man... I'm telling you this bug is catching... We all get this bug in some form or another. But I like the concept of doing what you want with your car. I have no regrets about any of my mods, especially knowing that 99% of it is returnable to stock.

HEK - DO NOT DELAY go straight from this post to COMPTECHUSA.com and order your SHORT SHIFTER. This is not a joke. You will be FLOORED by the difference. I let another member drive my TL with the SS in it last week and his jaw was in my floorboards.... Then I got in his ride and damn... it felt so loose and sloppy... seriously...

This is one MOD you MUST do.... For only $50? It is worth 5x that much....

Install is easy too...

Good Luck modding to all of you!!

The more i come here, the more i want to mod. So far i got the lip spoiler, hacked navi and just ordered the Aero-kit. What i will definatly do is clear the lights in the front and maybe get a drop (though im still in doubt about dropping a mid-luxo car)... hope it ends there

That was my install thread!! It is posted up in the 3G Garage now... That metal piece is basically like a pry bar to remove the bushing from the bottom of the shifter (where it is currently attached) That is the only function. It does nothing else and is in no way a part of the install itself. You dont even have to use it if you think of a better way to pop the bushing off the end. Just keep in mind you will re-use that bushing on the bottom of the SS....

jmbnova....I just ordered my ss from Comptech...here we go again...I hope I'm as impressed as you say you are with it....I was actually paying attention to the travel between gears all the way home so that when I get it installed I will actually be able to tell the difference, BTW this will be my 1st ss in all my cars I've ever owned....

This is the first car I've ever modded so this is a treat for myself. Now that I have the A-Spec Suspension, I'll be upgrading my rims and tires to complete the look of my A-Spec body kit and deck lid spoiler. After that is said and done, I'm saving up for the supercharger, catbacks, and headers. And after that is done, I won't be done either. I'm planning to install a CarPC. I'm sure it'll never end because there will be members on here who'll try something new and we'll like to incorporate that into our cars, too.
