I assume they were Type-S wheels, right? Sorry for your loss. All thieves should die slow very painful deaths. No doubt misguided prick youths from Trenton did this.

Anything in NYC or NJ-you're going to need wheel locks. If you didn't have them on the wheels that were just lifted, get them for your next set.

Hopefully insurance will cover you on this.

Wow! Sorry for your loss. Now a days people don't want you to have nothing nice anymore. Shit like this is why I have a garage. I hope you get your wheels back. Look on Craigslist in your area.

The word is that there has been a rash of this going on for about 2 months now for Trenton, hamilton, ewing, lawrence and west windsor. They know who is doing it but they keep following them around so they can catch them in the act instead of just having a possession of stolen property charge. My cop friends say they follow them around the train station all the time but they always just case and never follow through when they are staking out.

I knew he was serious when a detective showed up and they scheduled it for a finger print.

it should cover it - i mean i have comprehensive. I'm 30 now..I know better than to have just minimum insurance...lol. You learn that lesson real quick when you're younger. Minimums and $1000+ deductibles don't cut it!

Yes, I'll be getting new wheel locks for the next set (i've already order replacements). I find myself feeling guilty and embarrassed that i didn't have locks (not my first rodeo) but then again, just cause i don't have locks doesn't give people the right to steal them.

I dunno - i was told to leave it on the blocks until it can be finger printed and my insurance said to wait for the adjuster.

Sorry to hear this OP. I fucking hate thieves. I had my old civic stolen and lost every penny I had in it. Found the info on the shock sensor a few threads down.. https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/%5Bdiy%5D-add-some-security-shock-sensors-factory-alarm-855658/

I hate seeing threads like this, no matter what kind of car it is. I pay extra at my apt for a garage just to avoid headaches like this.

Sorry to see that man. Hope other damages to the Type S are minimal. Garage is a must! If i lived somewhere without a garage im not sure I would be able to have a nice car. I could never sleep at night.

Damn sorry for the loss OP it always sucks to see any wheels taken like this, and especially for the type s. I know I would go nuts if this happened to me and I hope you find out who did this. I've also heard that you should check out Craigslist to see if anyone is selling them

Not the situation I like to bring it up in and hope im not out of line, but it may help someone worried about this or even for OPs next set...I'm selling my set of 20 gorilla locks on the black market that fit the OEM ball seat if anyone wants some peace of mind, even though they don't prevent this they at least deter theft...especially when every one is a lock. https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/gorilla-wheel-locks-2-keys-873858/

Sucks....but how did they put a jack on the side that was next to a car? they must have used a small oem jack or the car next to you wasnt there when they were stealing it.

Dam that sucks, hate dam thieves that just go around jacking shit. Think it's best to have tilt and shock sensor plus 2 wheel locks, that's what I would do if I got some nice looking rims.

so sorry to see this man. but hey, that's what insurance is for. make sure they replace EVERYTHING that was stolen or damaged during the theft. wheels/tires/tpms/sideskirts etc.

as others have said, grab 2 different sets of wheel locks, and a shock/tilt sensor. that's really all you can do to protect yourself, short of having a garage.

Yea, i have a running list
  1. Wheels
  2. center caps
  3. TPMS
  4. lugs
  5. tires (depreciated, of course)
  6. Side skirts
  7. if anything happened in the front - I can't see it yet.

I've already bought replacement wheels, i feel like I've jumped the gun on that though - hopefully they quote me more than what i paid for them last night.

They jacked the wheels off my 07' TLS a few years ago, not only that but they left the car resting on bricks & rocks thus crushing the entire spoiler. It cost the insurance company $7,000 to replace everything. I now have wheel locks but they will do very little.
