I assume they were Type-S wheels, right? Sorry for your loss. All thieves should die slow very painful deaths. No doubt misguided prick youths from Trenton did this.

Anything in NYC or NJ-you're going to need wheel locks. If you didn't have them on the wheels that were just lifted, get them for your next set.
Hopefully insurance will cover you on this.

I knew he was serious when a detective showed up and they scheduled it for a finger print.
Yes, I'll be getting new wheel locks for the next set (i've already order replacements). I find myself feeling guilty and embarrassed that i didn't have locks (not my first rodeo) but then again, just cause i don't have locks doesn't give people the right to steal them.
I dunno - i was told to leave it on the blocks until it can be finger printed and my insurance said to wait for the adjuster.

start looking in CL or the local wheel&tire shops and maybe flea market. wheels from my old GTI were stolen i was left in blocks too, a week later looking to find new wheels i happened to find then being sold in a used tire shop.

sorry to see this OP. I hate hearing shit like this. This shit makes me sick. You got these low life fucks that ruin everyones pride n joy. I would love to catch someone in the act of doing something like this..I would make them feel the pain that the poot TL does when its sitting on blocks. I would take a rusty screw driver and shove it up their ass and keep feeding em and feeding em...lol..sorry for my ranting..OP, I hope things go well and you get that sexy S back on the road

wtf another wheel jack thread? wth wrong with these people? OP you can invest in a new wheel lock and shock sensor mod into your factory system to prevent this from happening again. I hope your insurance cover it.

Sorry to hear this OP. I fucking hate thieves. I had my old civic stolen and lost every penny I had in it. Found the info on the shock sensor a few threads down.. https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/%5Bdiy%5D-add-some-security-shock-sensors-factory-alarm-855658/

Damn sorry for the loss OP it always sucks to see any wheels taken like this, and especially for the type s. I know I would go nuts if this happened to me and I hope you find out who did this. I've also heard that you should check out Craigslist to see if anyone is selling them
Not the situation I like to bring it up in and hope im not out of line, but it may help someone worried about this or even for OPs next set...I'm selling my set of 20 gorilla locks on the black market that fit the OEM ball seat if anyone wants some peace of mind, even though they don't prevent this they at least deter theft...especially when every one is a lock. https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/gorilla-wheel-locks-2-keys-873858/

Dam that sucks, hate dam thieves that just go around jacking shit. Think it's best to have tilt and shock sensor plus 2 wheel locks, that's what I would do if I got some nice looking rims.

so sorry to see this man. but hey, that's what insurance is for. make sure they replace EVERYTHING that was stolen or damaged during the theft. wheels/tires/tpms/sideskirts etc.
as others have said, grab 2 different sets of wheel locks, and a shock/tilt sensor. that's really all you can do to protect yourself, short of having a garage.

- Wheels
- center caps
- TPMS
- lugs
- tires (depreciated, of course)
- Side skirts
- if anything happened in the front - I can't see it yet.
I've already bought replacement wheels, i feel like I've jumped the gun on that though - hopefully they quote me more than what i paid for them last night.

Wow, sorry to see man! Best of luck getting the car back to normal

They jacked the wheels off my 07' TLS a few years ago, not only that but they left the car resting on bricks & rocks thus crushing the entire spoiler. It cost the insurance company $7,000 to replace everything. I now have wheel locks but they will do very little.
