Wheel Spin in Neutral
I jacked up my car today and put it in neutral with the car running. The passenger side started spinning and the driver side remained still. Is this normal for the 04 TL for only the passenger side to spin or should both wheels spin?
Also noticed the driver side wheel difficult to spin with my hand while in neutral.

Are you talking about a manual or auto? Either way the wheels shouldn't be turning in neutral. If it's an auto are you sure the wheel didn't just start spinning because reverse was engaged momentarily?
What were you trying to check by putting the car in neutral with it running? Dragging brake or bad wheel bearing?

Car is making whining noise when rolling; louder as I pick up speed. Sounds like a turbine 45mph+, not loud though; people don't here it until i point it out. I had a shop replace both bearings and both lower arm bushings because they were going bad at 97k miles. They couldnt fix the noise and said it was tranny or wheel noise. lol i know it isnt.
Anyways, yes the wheels will spin in neutral for auto tranny because of inertia but why only one wheel on my car? I guess they didnt grease up the driver side correctly or something else.
Does anyone want to jack up their TL and tell me if both wheels spin or just the passenger side? If both sides spin, I can just tell the shop that they messed up.

They spin in neutral, not from inertia but from friction. It's normal.
Does the whining get high pitched with wheel speed or with engine rpm?

After you rule out something foreign rubbing on a moving part like an axle or ABS reluctor ring, it's most likely the differential bearings in the transmission.
Does the sound get louder with more throttle or is it unaffected?

With the car turned off and in neutral.
1. If I turn one wheel, the other turns the opposite way.
With Car running and in neutral.
1. Only passenger side spins up to about 10 mph while the driver side wheel stays stationary.
2. When I press on the brakes, the passenger wheel stops (obviously). When I release the brakes, both wheels spin up to speed (about 10 mph) but then the driver side slowly comes to a stop after about a minute (wierd huh?).
When driving vehicle
1. Car is noisier than usual. I drive on a newly paved, smooth road near my job everyday so I noticed the extra noise.
2. Noise is more pronounced 45 mph or higher.
3. While driving, car is placed in neutral but noise is still there. As car slows down noise dies down.
Noise does not increase with more throttle in drive.
Noise does not increase with more throttle in neutral.
Noise increases as speed increases.

Worst case, it's the differential in the trans getting damaged when the axle broke.
