Whats up with the weird prices for the TL on Craigslist...
Im looking for TL's and at this point i figured to give Craigslist a shot. As im scrolling down the page i see prices like $2950, $5500, $ 3850, etc. Im thinking "What a scam". Out of boredom and curiousity, i emailed one of the people with a ridiculous price and asked him/her some questions. I get an email back in 2 days and it says and whole bunch of crap like "The reason im selling this car is because i work as a casino dealer on a ship and im in need of financial help" and "The car is located at a ship port ready to be shipped to you"
Why do people do this? Are these just bots or something?

They are what you think they are; scammers.
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

alot of times they put low prices in the title to make you click on the link and then it says the real price in the description...on the other hand anything else would be a scam

My friend recently had something like this happen. He was selling a washing machine and some dude sent travelers checks saying he was in london on business, sent extra money, etc. He had a lot of fun with the guy, led him on to believe he cashed the checks and he needs an address to mail the excess cash to. Meanwhile, the fraudulent checks were at the local FBI office.
