What's my car worth?

I'm debating trading in my TL-S for something a little more... exciting...

I was hoping you guys could give me a realistic asking price for a reasonably quick sale.

2007 TL-S Kinetic Blue Pearl
26,500 miles
AEM intake
JL Sub-Woofer system (2 10" subs, 1500W amp)
Ipod Interface

I know I'll be upside down a little, I'm just curious how much... Anybody have an idea for a FAIR private party asking price, for a quick sale? I'm sure trade in is like 25K or worse!

Ha... no kidding! I'm probably going to ask $29,500 for a hopefully quick sale...

Does that sound like a pretty fair price, to move the car quickly?

FWIW - KBB says about $27,500.

Check TMV on Edmunds and also KBB for an approximate value.

Well, on Ebay and Carmax, I dont' see any selling less than 30K... so I'm basing my price off that.

I'm looking at picking up a new STI... I miss Subaru's!

No offense...but I think you might have a little trouble getting $29,500 since what i've learned from past experience is that most of those upgrades you've done usually make the car tougher to sell. I'd say if you are really itching to get out of it, maybe $28k

I'm not really itching... just window shopping!

The upgraded sound system and ipod interface should be a plus for anybody. I know engine mods are usually frowned upon, BUT intakes are the only exception to that, especially a nice AEM cold-air. The car sounds and performs better.

I only owe $30K on the car, and I have plenty set aside if I need to throw down some extra... I obviously just want to get the best price possible.

Yeah, I used to have a WRX with a V7 JDM Engine swap... it was like 400+ HP...

The new STI's are fast stock, and with about $2000 in mods, you can have 380HP and 420TQ...

I think my car will be officially for sale... $29,000

I test drove an STI last night, and holy hell.... what a blast. I will say, the interior and overall quality is NOT the same, after being used to my TL-S... and I'll probably miss the nice luxury interior... but the driving experience can't even be compared.

FWIW - just bought a 2007 TL-S 6MT from Carmax wit 8000 miles that was spotless - still smells new.

Total cost out the door was $32,200 so $29,000 should get you a pretty quick sale.

Mine has ONE scratch on the drivers door, about 2" long... but other than that, in great shape.

Now that you have figured out a price, go put it on the Black Market

Good luck.
